We arrived in Las Vegas on October 5, 2004 after flights from Atlanta to Denver and Denver to Last Vegas on Frontier Airlines. Audrey Statham (Bubbette), Tony Bagwell and Jason Gaston at the Las Vegas Airport. |

On October 6 we did a training hike to Walnut Canyon. Got to hike in and around some really cool cliff dwellings. Colby Strom and Tony Bagwell. |

Later that day our next stop was to Sunset Crater National Monument. We climbed up to the top of Mount Lenox (a dead volcano) and some other hikers took our picture in front of Mount Humphries-- tallest point in Arizona at over 12,000 feet.

Ok, I admit it, I set up this photo of Audrey taking a photo of Tony taking a photo of Tom taking a photo of Jason taking a photo of a flower. But we did kill a lot of electrons on photos. Colby was busy taking a photo of something else close by. |

The Desert View Tower was built by the Fred Harvey Company many years ago at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and stands 80 feet tall. The view from the tower is magnificent- it's one of the few spots you can see the Colorado River from the rim. Here's a photo of a couple of the guys looking northwest. |
